My journey with dogs began in Northern Virginia, where I nurtured my love for animals through pet sitting and veterinary assistant work. This passion led me to pursue an Animal Health degree at Murray State University in Kentucky.

A pivotal moment arrived with the rescue of Tucker, a severely ill puppy. Overcoming his aggression proved challenging, teaching me the importance of understanding a dog's true nature and the limitations of traditional training methods.

This experience ignited my desire to help other dogs and their owners. I honed my skills in dog training, specializing in behavior modification for challenging cases, including aggression, anxiety, and fear.

Facing my own mental health challenges, I discovered the profound impact of service dogs. This personal and pivotal moment deepened my commitment to assisting individuals with disabilities through service dog training.

In 2018, I founded Blue Ridge Canine, dedicated to providing exceptional service dog training and support. Today, I focus solely on raising and training service dogs, working dogs, and therapy dogs, fulfilling my lifelong passion for helping animals and the people they enrich.
